On Thursday 20 March, we were joined by a wonderful panel of experts to discuss Health Visitors’ role in vaccination success.

We heard from a panel of experts in the field who explored the vital role of the health visitor in improving the uptake of vaccinations across the UK.

Our expert panel included:

  • Dr Julie Yates, Deputy Director Immunisation Programmes at UKHSA, who will be sharing the national data and policy context of vaccinations, including core elements of the Child Health Action Plan
  • Dr Helen Campbell, Lead Scientist in the Immunisation Division at UKHSA, who will be sharing their research about what parents think about the routine vaccination programme
  • Catherine Hughes, Founding Director at The Immunisation Foundation of Australia, shares the story of her son Riley Hughes and how their family lost Riley to Whooping cough.
